The Tone:
This is a full-time rotational development program across various Summit Electric Supply locations, including Dallas, Houston, Albuquerque, and Phoenix. Summit Electric Supply, a part of the Sonepar group, is the world’s #1 electrical distributor, providing electrical products and services for offices, homes, factories, and other buildings. This program is designed to educate, train, and develop emerging professionals, establishing a strong foundation for a successful career within the company and its operating companies. What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Engagement: Engage in warehouse operations, distribution processes, and logistics functions to develop a strong understanding of the business.
• Vendor Collaboration: Build relationships with key vendors in assigned markets to understand and promote vendor products, supporting marketing and sales initiatives.
• Market Analysis: Analyze sales data and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth and evaluate competitive strengths and weaknesses.
• Customer & Product Support: Train customers and associates on Company products, features, benefits, and applications to deliver exceptional service and meet customer needs.
• Project Leadership: Manage projects by developing a thorough understanding of organizational and customer needs, collaborating with internal and external partners, and presenting recommendations and solutions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, or a related field required, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Experience: No specific years required, but must demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team and thrive in new environments.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills; effective verbal, written, and presentation skills; ability to build relationships and collaborate across all levels of the organization; strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities; customer-focused mindset.
• Bonus: Previous internship, co-op, or leadership experience.
