Entry Level Accountant | Aston Carter

This is a permanent, fully onsite role at Aston Carter, located in Odessa, FL. What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Payable: Support Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing, purchase order matching, and reconciliations.
• Accounts Receivable: Assist with Accounts Receivable functions, which involves billing, cash application, collections, and account maintenance.
• Reconciliations & Reporting: Prepare account reconciliations and contribute to month-end close activities and monthly financial reporting.
• Transactions: Process domestic and international ACH and wire transactions, ensuring accurate financial records.
• Audit Support: Assist in gathering documentation and schedules required for external audits and research accounting discrepancies.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; entry-level position.
• Experience: Internship, co-op, or entry-level experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or accounts receivable, coupled with a strong understanding of accounting principles and accrual-based accounting.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs, excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Bonus: QuickBooks experience, exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, or reconciliations, collections or billing experience, or experience supporting audits or month-end close activities.
