• Mission: This role is responsible for executing accounting procedures and principles to prepare financial statements and conduct financial analysis, ensuring sound financial management for the business.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare comprehensive financial statements and manage financial records for reporting purposes.
• Audit and Compliance: Perform branch audit evaluations and conduct audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Reconciliation & Scheduling: Assemble bank reconciliations and maintain accurate account schedules for financial oversight.
• General Ledger & Closing: Prepare journal entries, calculate expense accruals, and manage allocations, actively participating in the month-end closing process.
• Financial Analysis & Tax: Analyze income statement fluctuations and prepare state and local tax returns to support financial accuracy and compliance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required, laying the foundational knowledge for this early-career role in financial management.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is essential for daily tasks and analysis.
• Skills: Core accounting principles, financial statement preparation, financial analysis, general ledger management, auditing procedures, and tax preparation.
• Bonus: The flexibility to relocate outside the local area or state within a 1-3 year period to accept potential promotional opportunities is highly valued. A valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on your driving record in the past 3 years is also required.
