Accounting Intern | Enterprise
The Tone:
This is a seasonal/temporary internship at Enterprise, located in Louisville, KY at our Group Administrative Headquarters. As a key partner in our organization, Enterprise’s Business Managers oversee all aspects of financial management and provide balance to the partnership formed with the marketing and operational pieces of our business. This role is designed to provide real-world business, accounting, and financial training that will teach you all aspects of financial management pertaining to running a successful business, fully preparing you to become a Business Manager of your own financial operation. You’ll gain valuable experience at an industry leader that supports your development every step of the way.

• Mission: To learn basic accounting procedures and principles, ranging from accounts payable and receivable systems to financial statement preparation and analysis, as a foundation for future financial management roles.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Analysis: Assist in preparing financial statements and analysis to support key business insights.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with rental branches and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Reporting Support: Assist accounting managers with generating necessary reports and other financial documents.
• Transaction Processing: Be involved with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including managing cash receipts and petty cash.
• Administrative Assistance: Provide general administrative support, including assisting with accounting schedules and maintaining organized financial filings.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be enrolled full-time for the upcoming semester in a college/university in a bachelor’s degree program in Accounting or Finance, with a graduation date of August 2027, December 2027, or May 2028. This is an Entry-Level role.
• Experience: Experience in accounting, accounts payable/receivable, or bookkeeping is preferred.
• Skills: Must have basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Bonus: Must be flexible to relocate outside the local area/state within a 1-3 year period to accept potential promotional opportunities. Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by Enterprise now or in the future. Must be at least 18 years old.
