Senior HR Manager – Industrial Components Mexico | Wabtec Corporation

The Tone:
This is a full-time leadership role at Wabtec Corporation, located in Mexico. Wabtec builds critical components for freight and industrial applications. This position is vital for shaping the human resources strategy and culture across 4 manufacturing entities in Mexico, directly impacting approximately 400 employees and supporting the company’s business priorities in the region.

• Team: Manages 2-3 HR Managers; partners with Senior Leadership, the Freight & Industrial Components HRBP, and the Mexico HR team.
• Mission: To proactively identify and execute on business priorities while driving culture change across the Mexico locations within Freight & Industrial Components.

What You’ll Actually Do
• HR Strategy & Team Management: Lead the HR strategy for Mexico locations within Freight & Industrial Components, overseeing 4 manufacturing operating entities and directly managing 2-3 HR Managers.
• Strategic Business Partnership: Partner strategically with Senior Leadership and their extended teams to proactively identify and execute on both business priorities and initiatives for driving culture change.
• Talent & Organizational Development: Provide leadership and expertise for the full scope of Human Resource functions, including talent management, succession planning, leading organizational change, and facilitating team performance.
• Labor Relations & Compliance: Ensure full respect for the rights of employees, administer both individual and collective labor agreements, and lead recruitment, selection, restructuring, and reduction of the workforce as needed.
• Culture & Compensation Oversight: Facilitate culture and communications throughout the organization, working with leaders to implement change efforts, and be responsible for equitable compensation plans and rewards and recognition programs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college; Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resource leadership role.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in a variety of Human Resource positions, both staff and client-based, along with previous Labor Relations experience and HR team management experience.
• Skills: Competent in English, able to communicate with fluency and accuracy; willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Bonus: Master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Labor Relations or Business Administration; Employee and Union relations experience, and contract negotiations experience; Global HR Leadership Experience; Previous experience working as part of a Corporate business team providing HR strategy and direction; Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; Ability to influence and engage at all levels of the business, including senior leadership; Strong oral and written communication skills; Strong coaching skills.
