The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at MetaSource, located remotely. MetaSource is a fast-growing, tech-enabled services company that provides a priceless experience for current accounting students. This role is crucial for an accounting student to apply their knowledge and skills in a professional setting, contributing to an efficient and disciplined month-end close process, while gaining valuable exposure to a team of seasoned CPAs, the NetSuite ERP system, and Mergers & Acquisitions experience.

• Mission: To apply accounting knowledge and skills in a professional setting, contributing to an efficient month-end close process and supporting the growth and innovation of the BPO industry.
• Tech Stack: NetSuite ERP system, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook

What You’ll Actually Do
• Month-End: Perform general accounting duties related to month-end processes.
• Record Keeping: Implement proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies.
• Transaction Entry: Input daily transaction information in NetSuite for accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Invoicing: Assist with billing and customer invoicing tasks.
• Process Adherence: Perform tasks within the parameters of current established processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate student majoring in Accounting, in their Junior or Senior year, with high academic performance, and knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, applications, and methods.
• Experience: Seeking to apply core accounting coursework knowledge in a professional setting as they complete their final year of school.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare reports, proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), attention to detail with a self-starter attitude, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Bonus: Completed a related internship or possessed experience with accounting ERP systems, with NetSuite experience being a plus.
