What You’ll Actually Do
• Claim Measurement: Assist in measuring commercial insurance claims, including property damage, product recall, liability, theft/fidelity, and business interruption/lost profits across various industries.
• Financial Modeling: Utilize Excel to create schedules from financial information for the measurement of business interruption losses.
• Documentation Management: Draft requests for documentation essential for financial analysis.
• Report Preparation: Help prepare written reports and narratives for clients, reviewing documents and transactions for accuracy and flagging key details.
• Data Organization: Organize supporting documentation and input data for financial investigations and a range of litigation projects.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Math, maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0 in both your major and overall studies.
• Experience: Must have successfully completed relevant accounting courses prior to the internship’s commencement.
• Skills: Demonstrate general computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, and proficiency in written and spoken English, coupled with an interest in the Forensic Accounting field.
