Operations Development Program – 2027 | Vermeer Corporation

The Tone:
This is a full-time, early career development program at Vermeer Corporation, located in-person on a Vermeer campus. Vermeer equips customers globally by manufacturing equipment that manages natural resources, connects people, and feeds and fuels communities. This program is designed to accelerate the development of early career talent, creating a robust pipeline of future Operations leaders for the business.

The TL;DR

• Mission: Accelerate early career talent development and produce a pipeline of Operations leaders.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Execution: Execute 3, eight-month rotations to build leadership and functional skills through experiential and formal learning.
• Production Management: Gain experience managing production areas during assigned rotations.
• Engineering Contribution: Contribute to Manufacturing, Quality, or Advanced Manufacturing Engineering projects.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within Operations or Business Processes.
• Procurement Learning: Learn and apply procurement strategies and practices as a Buyer or Commodity Manager.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or Engineering.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment, such as through an internship or previous work history.
• Skills: Ability to manage through challenging situations, a passion for problem solving using lean manufacturing principles, effective cross-functional collaboration, strong oral and written communication skills, and high attention to detail.
• Bonus: Bilingual fluency in Spanish is preferred.
