Vendor Accounting Analyst I | TD SYNNEX North America

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at TD SYNNEX North America, located in Clearwater, FL, operating on a hybrid schedule. TD SYNNEX is a global distributor connecting IT manufacturers with IT solution providers, and this position supports its core financial operations. The Vendor Accounting Analyst I is crucial for maintaining accurate financial relationships with vendor partners, ensuring timely settlements, and contributing to the financial health of the company by resolving complex accounting discrepancies. This role emphasizes investigation, critical thinking, and relationship management over routine data entry.

• Mission: Own and reconcile a portfolio of vendor accounts to ensure agreement on financial obligations between TD SYNNEX and its partners.
• Tech Stack: Excel, ERP/financial tools (prior experience a plus)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconcile Statements: Own an assigned vendor account portfolio, reconciling statements and ensuring agreement on what’s owed between TD SYNNEX and each vendor.
• Investigate & Resolve: Investigate and resolve variances, deductions, and unapplied items, escalating issues promptly when needed.
• Coordinate Cross-functionally: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Product Marketing, Buying, and Logistics/Warehouse, to drive resolution for credits, rebates, returns, and RMAs.
• Process Vouchers: Prepare and route Accounts Payable (AP) vouchers for review and approval.
• Monitor Receivables: Monitor vendor receivables to prevent aging that could negatively impact financial results.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Entry-level understanding of accounting, AP/AR, banking, or financial operations.
• Experience: 0-1 year of relevant experience, which may include internships, co-ops, or entry-level roles in accounting or financial operations.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, organized and detail-oriented, comfortable with Excel and learning new financial systems.
• Bonus: Hands-on account reconciliation experience (vendor statements, invoices, credit memos, deductions); exposure to order-to-cash or procure-to-pay processes, including RMAs, returns, and rebates; experience working in varied or evolving systems and adapting quickly to new tools.
