Finance Leadership Development Program Intern | Siemens Healthineers

The Tone:
This is a full-time, 10-12 week summer internship, which can be fully virtual or potentially on-site, requiring relocation. What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Consolidate financial activities such as forecasting and budgeting, perform detailed monthly reporting analysis, and participate in special projects to support strategic insights.
• Corporate Accounting Operations: Learn and apply corporate accounting policies and concepts, research IFRS guidelines, reconcile major trial balance accounts, and execute monthly closing activities.
• Cost and Inventory Management: Learn cost, inventory, and project costing principles, perform the closure of work orders, manage inventory tracking and reporting, and prepare associated journal entries.
• Operational Control & Compliance: Assist in creating business segment budgets, develop control policies and procedures, and ensure accurate record keeping and adherence to Siemens Healthineers policies.
• Audit & Process Improvement: Learn internal audit techniques to review business processes, recommend enhancements for efficiency, and enforce organizational policies and procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level position for rising undergraduate seniors (current juniors) pursuing a BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Management with a concentration in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: Ability to work 40 hours per week from May to August; permanent work authorization in the U.S. is required for program eligibility.
• Skills: Foundational understanding of finance and accounting principles; analytical and problem-solving aptitude; demonstrates a collaborative, resourceful, and creative approach to complex challenges.
• Bonus: Willingness to relocate and travel as required by the program, or comfort working in a fully virtual format.
