LEAD Associate | TowneBank

The Tone:

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Participation: Participate in the LEAD (Leadership Exploration and Development) program, designed to cultivate leadership and management skills for a top-performing financial institution.
• Training & Development: Receive comprehensive onsite training at the bank’s headquarters covering presentation skills, advanced communication, business etiquette, ethics, and financial management.
• Job Rotations: Execute specific job rotations across various departments at headquarters in Hampton Roads, followed by on-the-job training in a selected Career Track within a Towne region.
• Networking & Mentorship: Cultivate professional networks, gaining mentorship from program graduates and executives, and engaging with employee resource groups.
• Community Involvement: Contribute to community volunteerism and engage with local organizations, reflecting the program’s strong focus on serving others and enriching lives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Completed bachelor’s degree with coursework in Financial and Managerial Accounting, Economics, and Computer skills for business.
• Experience: Proven initiative, work ethic, and leadership experience demonstrated through community and/or extra-curricular involvement.
• Skills: Presentation skills, advanced communication, business etiquette, ethics, financial management, and computer proficiency (spreadsheets, documents, presentations).
• Bonus: Participation in a university leadership or honors program; coursework in Intro to Finance, Commercial Banking or Money & Banking, Statistics, Business Information Technology, or Marketing.
