Summer 2027 Compliance Audit Internship | NKSFB

The Tone:
This is an internship at NKSFB, located in the Los Angeles and New York City area. NKSFB is the largest business management firm in the country, with over 650 employees serving top artists, athletes, and other high achievers with sophisticated lifestyle management services. This role is crucial for the Compliance Audit team, which works directly with agreements that govern how entertainment professionals are paid. By analyzing contracts and financial records, auditors verify that participants in various entertainment projects receive compensation consistent with their agreements.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Learn how Compliance Auditors provide essential support to unions, guilds, studios, and other participants in the entertainment industry.
• Analyze: Scrutinize financial records, contracts, and supporting documentation to uncover and investigate potential discrepancies.
• Develop: Cultivate data analysis, research, and problem-solving capabilities through engagement in real-world compliance audit projects.
• Collaborate: Work alongside experienced compliance auditors, gaining exposure to entertainment accounting, business practices, and industry agreements.
• Participate: Engage in professional development workshops, networking events, and career-planning opportunities throughout the internship program.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related business discipline, with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028. Completion of introductory Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting coursework is required.
• Experience: This is an entry-level internship for students seeking to learn about compliance audit within the entertainment industry.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, and competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Bonus: On track to meet CPA licensing educational requirements upon graduation or completion of Intermediate Accounting coursework.
