Engineering Graduate | RES

The Tone:
This is a full-time Engineering Graduate position at RES, located hybrid in North America, requiring a minimum of 4 days in the office. RES, a 4,370-person organization, is dedicated to building a workplace where individuals feel valued and can reach their full potential. This two-year Global Graduate Programme is designed to provide meaningful work experience, professional development, and broad exposure across the renewable energy industry. The role matters because you will contribute to real projects that support the transition to affordable zero-carbon energy.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations: Develop a broad understanding of how RES Services manages the operation and maintenance of renewable energy assets across North America.
• Commercial: Support commercial initiatives to learn how business opportunities are assessed, developed, and translated into long-term value.
• Engineering: Develop a strong understanding of renewable asset performance, reliability, and failure modes by analyzing operational data and supporting root cause investigations.
• Project Work: Collaborate with experienced colleagues on real projects, contributing meaningfully to the business and the transition to zero-carbon energy.
• Development: Take ownership of personal growth through structured learning, practical experience, and professional development opportunities across various rotations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Expected to graduate from, or have graduated within the past two years from, a recognized post-secondary institution with a Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering, or Engineering + Business Administration.
• Experience: Willingness and ability to travel occasionally within North America for project exposure and site visits; demonstrated academic achievement and a genuine interest in a renewable energy career.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective organizational and time-management skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Bonus: Previous internship, university project, or placement experience in renewable energy or related technical fields; participation in team projects or extracurricular activities; an interest in operations management, commercial activities, or engineering support functions; basic knowledge of project management, business fundamentals, data analysis, or process improvement; a GPA of 2.9 or higher.
