The Tone:
This is a full-time role at BlackRock, operating under a hybrid work model (4 days in office, 1 day remote). What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Analysis: Analyze accounting data and provide commentary regarding accounting results.
• Reporting Delivery: Prepare, review, and ensure distribution of various accounting packages and reporting schedules to clients.
• Service Enhancement: Assist in special projects and initiatives to enhance the service offering.
• Policy Adherence: Develop understanding of accounting policy and pronouncements to ensure reporting follows standards.
• Regulatory Reconciliation: Complete all quarterly NAIC reconciliations with appropriate follow-up and resolution.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Professional with strong knowledge of accounting concepts, controls, and various investment types, with an essential understanding of various accounting bases (GAAP, US Statutory, IFRS, UK GAAP, CAD GAAP).
• Experience: 4-8 years related work experience preferred, with strong and effective communication skills to deal directly with clients and across all levels of staff and management.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail to ensure a high degree of accuracy, strong initiative to follow up on outstanding issues, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and balance multiple requests, and a technical and process improvement mindset.
• Bonus: BS degree in Finance or Accounting or other related degree, and knowledge of Insurance related reporting (US Statutory, Solvency II or IFRS).
