Executive, Compliance Operations | Zurich Insurance Group

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Zurich Insurance Group, located in Malaysia. Zurich Insurance Group is a global insurance provider. This role is crucial for ensuring the Compliance Operations function delivers accurate, timely, and high-quality regulatory, management, Board, Group, and Regional reporting. It plays a key part in promoting an ethics-based and compliance-driven culture across the organization by coordinating essential governance activities, risk assessments, and training.

• Team: Compliance Operations function, supporting the Chief Compliance Officer
• Mission: Deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality regulatory and management reporting while fostering an ethics and compliance-driven culture.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), COSMO compliance system, reporting dashboards, workflow tools, automation tools, AI-enabled productivity tools.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting & Coordination: Prepare, coordinate, and maintain accurate and timely reports, papers, dashboards, and management information for Bank Negara Malaysia, Management, the Board, and relevant governance committees.
• Initiative Support: Coordinate and support Group and Regional compliance initiatives and reporting, including bi-monthly Group reporting (QCR), Compliance Risk Assessments (CRA), Group Maturity Assessments, and the Zurich Compliance Program (ZCP) review.
• Training & Awareness: Coordinate compliance training and awareness activities, encompassing the preparation and maintenance of materials, implementation support, completion tracking, and status updates for stakeholders.
• Data Management: Maintain the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of data within the COSMO compliance system and related trackers, while supporting data quality monitoring.
• Assurance Contribution: Allocate approximately 20% of working capacity to Compliance Assurance activities, providing planning, coordination, documentation, evidence management, tracking, and other execution support.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Preferably 1-2 years of relevant experience in compliance, risk management, audit, governance, insurance, takaful, or financial services, with strong internship or graduate experience also considered.
• Skills: Strong written communication, reporting, and presentation skills; good analytical, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills; detail-oriented, organised, proactive, and able to exercise sound judgement; proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Bonus: Basic understanding of insurance and/or takaful laws, regulations, compliance principles, governance practices, and operational processes; familiarity with reporting dashboards, workflow tools, automation, or AI-enabled productivity tools; willingness to learn and support Compliance Assurance activities.
