Commercial Banking Intern – Small Business | First Federal Lakewood

What You’ll Actually Do
• Departmental Project Contribution: Actively support the Commercial Banking, Commercial Credit, and retail Sales departments by working on assigned projects and contributing to their successful completion.
• Analytical Research and Reporting: Conduct essential financial analysis and comprehensive data analysis to generate insights and support strategic departmental initiatives.
• Client Engagement Support: Prepare necessary materials for sales calls, participate in client meetings, assist in the formulation of compelling proposals, and support the underwriting process for small business loans.
• Operational Task Management: Assist with a range of general activities, including processing various transactions and administrative tasks vital for daily operations, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
• Organizational Mission Fulfillment: Perform additional assigned duties as required to comprehensively support the company’s overarching mission of delivering high-quality financial services to its customers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High School Diploma or equivalent is required; currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Experience: 0-2 years of professional experience is required.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word; Strong communication skills for interacting with departments and customers; A customer service-oriented mindset; Aptitude for financial analysis and data analysis; Strong workflow and organizational skills, along with a commitment to quality work.
• Bonus: Prior experience in an accounting role within the financial services or banking industry.
