Summer 2027 Outsourced CIO Internship | Cerity Partners

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Cerity Partners, located in New York, NY. Cerity Partners is a nationally recognized registered investment advisory that provides outsourced investment services to endowments, foundations, and other institutional investors. This role offers real-world exposure to the financial industry, allowing interns to contribute directly to client outcomes and gain hands-on experience within a collaborative culture. It provides an opportunity to support daily operations and projects across various OCIO teams, which is crucial for the firm’s service delivery.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Full-time (30-40 hours/week)
• Location: In-person New York, NY
• Team: Supports Client Services, Operations, Accounting and Finance, and administrative teams within the NYC OCIO division.
• Mission: Assist with daily tasks focused on delivering client outcomes for institutional investors by supporting multiple OCIO teams.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Applications

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Correspondence: Monitor client correspondence, including daily email review and saving financial documents like capital call notices, tax forms, and performance statements.
• Financial Operations: Assist with month-end close processes and perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Expense Management: Support Accounts Payable by assisting with data entry, expense report processing, and filing.
• Material Preparation: Prepare and review materials for accuracy for both client and internal meetings.
• Ad-hoc Support: Perform ad hoc projects and tasks related to internal and external requests as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university with a minimum 3.2 GPA, majoring in Finance, Accounting, or a related degree.
• Experience: Active participation in campus organizations, preferably in a leadership role, and/or professional work experience.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
