Staff Accountant – Central | Wis-Pak, Inc.
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Wis-Pak, Inc., located in Oconomowoc, WI, operating on a hybrid schedule of four days in the office and one remote workday per week. Wis-Pak is a billion-dollar organization and a leading manufacturer and distributor of some of the nation’s most recognized beverage brands, including Pepsi-Cola, Mountain Dew, Lipton Iced Tea, Aquafina, Vita Ice, Klarbrunn, and Bubbl’r. This Staff Accountant – Central position is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting, directly contributing to our robust financial health and operational efficiency. What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entries: Prepare and record journal entries along with supporting documentation.
• Reconciliations: Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Financial Close: Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
• Fixed Assets: Maintain fixed assets and lease accounting records, including depreciation schedules.
• Audit Support: Assist with external audit requests and provide financial reporting support.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related technical field, with a basic understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience: 3+ seasons of public accounting experience, including internships.
• Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities; High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications; Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Bonus: Experience with ERP or accounting software systems; Exposure to financial reporting, account reconciliations, or month-end close activities; Manufacturing industry internship or work experience.
