The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Nclusion, located in Palo Alto, CA, operating on a hybrid schedule with four days in the office and one day remote. In this role, the Staff Accountant will be a key contributor to day-to-day accounts payable and expense-related accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial processing vital for a rapidly expanding fintech environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoice and Expense Processing: Process vendor invoices and employee expenses in Ramp and NetSuite, ensuring accurate coding and policy compliance.
• Month-End Close Support: Support Accounts Payable close tasks, including accrual preparation and reconciliations.
• Vendor Record Management: Maintain vendor setup and records in NetSuite, including collecting and organizing W-9/W-8 documentation.
• Payment Workflow Facilitation: Support payment processing workflows (ACH, wire, and international payments) with appropriate approvals and controls.
• Expense Policy Adherence: Review expense transactions in Ramp to ensure complete documentation, appropriate receipts, and adherence to company policy.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career, possessing a foundational understanding of U.S. GAAP principles and core accounts payable processes.
• Experience: 0–3 years of accounting, accounts payable, or related experience, with internship experience welcomed. Candidates should have exposure to month-end close activities and the preparation of expense accruals. The role requires comfort working in a fast-moving environment with evolving processes.
• Skills: Basic to intermediate Excel skills, including the use of formulas and lookups for working with large data sets. Essential soft skills include strong attention to detail, organization, and effective communication to collaborate with internal teams and resolve issues.
• Bonus: Candidates with experience supporting international vendors or multi-currency accounts payable are preferred. Familiarity with NetSuite and/or Ramp software, or exposure to close management tools like Numeric, is a plus. An interest in pursuing CPA certification is also highly valued.
