Jr. Accountant | WR Immigration
The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at WR Immigration, located in Santa Monica, CA, requiring up to four days per week in the office. WR Immigration is a global immigration firm recognized worldwide for its innovation, technology, and high touch legal services. With offices across multiple time zones, the firm provides corporate global visa services in over 100 countries, supported by over 46 attorneys and 200 immigration professionals. This entry-level Jr. Accountant role offers a recent graduate or early career professional the opportunity to begin their accounting career by assisting the Finance team with critical day-to-day operations under the Financial Controller’s supervision.

• Mission: Assist with day-to-day accounting activities, including billing, payment processing, reconciliations, and recordkeeping.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Financial Data: Enter billing, payment, deposit, and other financial information accurately into the firm’s systems.
• Manage Client Billing: Assist with preparing and issuing client invoices and accurately apply and record client payments.
• Maintain Receivables: Track outstanding balances and maintain comprehensive accounts receivable records for the firm.
• Perform Reconciliations: Review financial transactions for completeness and accuracy, and perform basic reconciliations of billing, deposit, and payment records.
• Support Financial Operations: Assist with researching billing discrepancies, support month-end/year-end closing, and maintain organized financial documentation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field, which must be completed by the position’s start date. This entry-level opportunity is designed for recent graduates, requiring a foundational understanding of accounting or bookkeeping principles gained through college coursework.
• Experience: No prior professional accounting experience is required for this role; recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is essential, along with comfort in entering, reviewing, and working with numerical data. The role demands strong attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy, good organizational and time-management skills, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to handle confidential financial and client information responsibly. The ability to follow established procedures, ask questions, and learn from feedback is also key.
• Bonus: An interest in learning new accounting and business systems is helpful, and prior experience with platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, FinancialForce, or similar is a plus, though not required.
