• Mission: Solve complex business opportunities and challenges for high-profile clients by providing tax compliance, advising, and planning support, utilizing company technologies.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Compliance & Planning: Perform tax-related tasks, including compliance, advising, and planning for diverse clients, including multistate and multinational enterprises.
• Data Analytics & Documentation: Utilize KPMG technology for data analytics, create tax return work papers and tax returns, and coordinate with offshore resources.
• Due Diligence & Exposure Analysis: Conduct tax due diligence to identify potential tax exposures and opportunities for clients.
• Multinational Tax Advisory: Assist multinational enterprises with business decisions and tax planning, considering global tax risk, effective tax rates, and cash flow.
• Technology Skill Development: Build capabilities in key technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, and Power BI to enhance tax service delivery.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, information technology, data and analytics, or engineering.
• Experience: Completion of at least one college-level accounting course is required at the time of application. Upon completion of this internship, candidates must have additional academic credits to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements.
• Skills: Strong technical, business acumen, critical thinking, and agility skills; a quality service mindset; ability to learn and navigate technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, Power BI, and MS Office applications. Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills are essential.
• Bonus: Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above. Coursework or a minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science, or data and analytics is preferred. Pursuing educational requirements for CPA licensure in the principal place of business for this position is also a bonus.
