Corporate Accounting Intern | Greystar
The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Greystar, located in-person. Greystar is a leading global real estate platform that specializes in property management, investment management, development, and construction services for rental housing, managing over $350 billion of real estate globally. This role provides students with hands-on experience in accounting and financial reporting, allowing them to gain a practical understanding of how these functions support a large-scale real estate business. The intern will contribute directly to the financial operations of a major global real estate organization.

• Mission: Support the Corporate Accounting team by performing key financial tasks, preparing reports, and assisting with reconciliations to ensure accurate financial information for a global real estate platform.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Support the creation and analysis of financial information, financial statements, and accounting reports.
• Process: Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
• Review: Examine financial data, invoices, expenses, and other accounting documentation for accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
• Contribute: Support monthly accounting and financial reporting processes for the team.
• Reconcile: Assist with bank reconciliations and other cash-related accounting activities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: No specific years of experience required; must be graduating between December 2027 and May 2028.
• Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, keen attention to detail, working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage deadlines.
• Bonus: Interest in accounting, financial reporting, and the real estate industry; a proactive attitude to learn, ask questions, and collaborate within a team environment.
