Corporate Accounting Intern (Summer 2026) | Zurn Elkay Water Solutions

• Team: Reports to the Senior Financial Analyst – Corporate Accounting, part of the corporate accounting and financial reporting team.
• Mission: Supports corporate accounting matters, including month-end close, functional corporate cost centers, and external reporting.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office applications, Excel (pivot tables, dynamic formulas)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Month-End Support: Assist in the month-end and quarter-end close process for Corporate functions, including the preparation of monthly/quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations.
• External Reporting: Support the process associated with Zurn’s quarterly and annual SEC filings and prepare related supporting documentation.
• Compliance & Research: Assist in the maintenance and adherence to internal controls under SOX and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP, as well as researching accounting guidance in the FASB Accounting Standards Codification.
• Audit Coordination: Assist with the coordination and execution of internal and external audits.
• Project Support: Perform ad hoc analysis, projects, and other duties as assigned, including a compensation/benefits project.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: Ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer.
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly strong Excel skills (pivot tables, dynamic formulas), excellent organizational, planning, interpersonal, and communication skills, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to balance multiple tasks.
