Staff Accountant | Healthcare Management Partners, LLC

The Tone:

Healthcare Management Partners, LLC (HMP) is a hospital and healthcare services management firm led by experienced C-level healthcare executives who specialize in rapidly defining and solving complex organizational challenges. The firm provides senior executive–led management, financial advisory, and litigation support services to hospitals, healthcare organizations, and their stakeholders. This Staff Accountant role is critical for ensuring timely, reliable financial information that supports both internal decision-making and high-quality client service in a specialized healthcare advisory environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Daily Accounting: Record journal entries, maintain general ledgers, and reconcile accounts as part of day-to-day accounting activities.
• Prepare Financial Reports: Generate accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support Financial Planning: Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, alongside cash flow monitoring.
• Facilitate Audits & Reporting: Prepare essential documentation for audits, financial advisory engagements, and client reporting.
• Analyze Financial Data: Examine financial data for accuracy and trends, supporting compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Possesses a strong foundation in general accounting principles, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience: Proficiency with accounting software and Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools; solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow concepts, with experience supporting these processes.
• Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify variances, and present clear, concise findings to team members; detail-oriented work style with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines; effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating across finance, operations, and leadership teams; demonstrated integrity, discretion, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
• Bonus: CPA or progress toward certification; experience in healthcare, professional services, or advisory environments, especially exposure to complex transactions or restructurings.
