What You’ll Actually Do
• Promote and Develop Business: Actively promote a comprehensive range of MUFG products and services to diverse corporate clients, striving to develop new business opportunities by contributing to customer pipelining and account planning discussions. This includes ensuring all efforts align with ROE and profit targets, supporting the delivery of relevant banking services, and developing presentation and pitch materials.
• Conduct Advanced Analysis and Modeling: Independently excel in performing thorough financial analysis, corporate analysis, and sector analysis specifically for corporate clients. Furthermore, conduct complex data modeling to provide robust support for Relationship Managers, aiding their decision-making process on deal feasibility and structuring.
• Structure and Mitigate Risk: Take responsibility for structuring sophisticated financial solutions, strategically utilizing products and expertise from various MUFG group entities, including Morgan Stanley, to effectively mitigate risk to the Bank. This ensures that solutions are robust and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Prepare Deal Documentation and Negotiate: Prepare comprehensive deal proposals and credit applications, ensuring that proposed pricing, product offerings, and the overall structuring of each deal are fully aligned with MUFG’s business strategy. This process also involves negotiating contract terms and conditions with customers to deliver extraordinary experiences and mitigate potential risks for the Bank.
• Collaborate and Build Relationships: Foster strong, effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. This involves working in partnership with Relationship Managers (across branches for cross-border deals), Product Offices, Credit, and Compliance on issues such as Know Your Customer and Sanctions. Engage with external parties like lawyers, accountants, and technical experts for advice, and visit customers locally and overseas to resolve complex issues and maintain strong relationships.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A college degree or higher.
• Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in roles such as relationship management, corporate finance, corporate credit, or within bank product teams (e.g., trade, global markets), or a multinational corporation.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret financial statements; proven capability to conduct in-depth research and analysis of customer industries; strong ability to conduct business operations effectively within a commercial banking environment.
• Bonus: A foundational understanding of basic banking products is preferred.
