Labour Compliance Executive | Johnson Controls

This role is crucial for ensuring statutory and project-related labour compliance across customer assignments, supporting smooth operations and mitigating risks by maintaining meticulous documentation and adherence to regulatory guidelines.

The TL;DR

• Mission: Manage statutory and project-related compliance documentation end-to-end to ensure accurate and timely adherence to regulations.
• Tech Stack: MS Office (Word, Excel)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Compliance Documentation: Prepare, submit, track, and maintain all required compliance documents for customers, both online and offline.
• Subcontractor Guidance: Conduct introductory calls with subcontractors to explain billing processes and compliance expectations.
• Compliance Review: Review subcontractor compliance documents against established checklists, identifying gaps and coordinating closure of non-compliance issues.
• Audit Support: Obtain audit reports related to compliance submissions from customer sites and maintain accurate records.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of minimum wages, labour laws, and statutory compliance requirements including BOCW, CLRA, ISMW, PF, ESIC, PT, and LWF.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Graduate degree in HR, Commerce, Business Administration, Social Work, or equivalent experience, with core domain knowledge in labour, statutory, project, or subcontractor compliance.
• Experience: 3 to 7 years in labour compliance, statutory compliance, project compliance, or subcontractor compliance, with good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Skills: Good communication skills with mandatory local language proficiency, strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Bonus: Experience supporting project compliance and subcontractor compliance in a customer-facing environment, exposure to compliance checklists, audit reports, and remark closure workflows, familiarity with third-party or contractual project environments, and experience with new wage code implementation for subcontractors and vendors.
