• Mission: To ensure accurate and efficient reconciliation of investment data, identifying and resolving discrepancies to support financial operations and improve process quality.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Maintain and enhance the scope of reconciliation services, including detailed data sourcing and mapping between Oaktree systems and various external parties.
• Develop and refine matching rules to optimize matching rates and significantly reduce manual reconciliation requirements across operational workflows.
• Design and optimize reconciliation break workflows, encompassing research methods, prioritization frameworks, standardized commentary, root cause categorizations, and clear assignment and escalation protocols.
• Conduct daily reviews of reconciliation breaks to identify and prioritize high-risk items, ensuring appropriate handling and communication to internal Oaktree teams for timely resolution or awareness.
• Perform detailed break research by analyzing various financial documents such as loan notices, trading activity, corporate action documentation, security master information, and fund accounting activity to pinpoint root causes and determine precise resolution steps.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree required. 2 to 6+ years of relevant experience working in an operations capacity at an asset management company, investment bank, or other financial services company. Strong knowledge of general finance, process documentation, and cross functional operations.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in private credit investment operations and middle-office support, including expertise in Bank loan syndication and corporate actions.
• Skills: Solid analytical skills and the proven ability to understand and resolve complex problems; proficient in Microsoft Office with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; outstanding organization skills with extremely high attention to detail.
• Bonus: Knowledge on Geneva and reconciliation platforms such as DUCO is preferable.
