The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Republic Airways, located in Carmel, IN, specifically for the Spring 2027 term. Republic Airways, a regional airline, offers a robust internship program designed to prepare students for the professional workforce through mentorship, professional development, and direct industry exposure. This role is integral to the Finance and Accounting department, providing essential support for critical financial processes. The intern will make meaningful contributions while sharpening skills and gaining practical experience in the aviation industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process: Prepare journal entries and assist with the monthly close process.
• Reconcile: Prepare and reconcile various general ledger accounts.
• Collaborate: Attend monthly departmental meetings and work collaboratively with different teams within the Finance and Accounting department.
• Contribute: Complete various assigned projects as needed and periodically present the results to team members.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an Entry-Level internship requiring candidates to be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Finance or Accounting. A strong academic foundation is expected, demonstrated by a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Experience: Candidates must possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a particular emphasis on Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.
• Skills: Essential skills include strong analytical capabilities for data interpretation and problem-solving, proficient communication and presentation skills for team interactions and project readouts, and the ability to effectively collaborate within a business group while also working independently. Flexibility and a willingness to assist team members with arising projects are also crucial.
• Bonus: This role requires the ability to work onsite at Republic Airways’ Carmel Headquarters location. Interns should be able to commit to working up to 40 hours per week, with a minimum of 20 hours for spring and fall terms, and must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
