Fund Accounting Internship | Standish Management, LLC

The Tone:
This is a seasonal internship providing exposure to private equity and venture capital industries through fund administration and partnership accounting during the summer of 2027. Standish Management, LLC specializes in providing fund administration services for Managers and General Partners of private equity funds, including Buy-out, Venture Capital, Real Estate, and Fund-of-Funds. The company also offers consulting services for new General Partners and administration/technology services for established fund families. This role is crucial for providing essential financial and administrative support to Associates and Fund Controllers, contributing to the efficient operation and scaling of client fund operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Support: Assist Associates and Fund Controllers by providing financial and administrative support for fund operations.
• Reporting Assistance: Contribute to accurate financial reporting by helping with financial statement support schedules.
• Data Management: Ensure data integrity through the entry of financial and client information into recordkeeping systems and the maintenance of filing systems.
• Audit & Tax Liaison: Provide support to audit and tax teams, facilitating their review processes.
• Systems Integration: Aid in systems conversions and data entry projects, helping clients utilize reporting technology effectively.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Knowledge of basic Accounting and Finance principles.
• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook.
• Skills: Attention to detail; Strong written and verbal communication; Ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines; Strong organizational skills and work ethic.
• Bonus: Familiarity with QuickBooks.
