The Tone:
This is an onsite, entry-level accounting role at Radiant Digital, located in Houston, TX. The position is central to the company’s financial transparency and regulatory compliance, specifically supporting the preparation and filing of external financial reports for oil and gas agencies, including SEC filings. Designed as a developmental opportunity, this role offers valuable exposure to public company financial reporting, SEC compliance requirements, U.S. GAAP, and financial statement disclosures. It is intended to build foundational knowledge in general accounting, internal controls, financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, and financial applications, fostering beginning levels of proficiency with industry and company acumen.

• Mission: Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of external financial reports and SEC filings for the company, specifically for oil and gas agencies.

What You’ll Actually Do
• SEC Filings Management: Assist under direct supervision with the preparation and filing of critical SEC reports, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K, ensuring adherence to compliance requirements.
• External Reporting Support: Support the accurate preparation of earnings releases and other external reporting requirements for oil and gas agencies, contributing to the company’s public disclosures.
• Financial Disclosures Review: Aid in the comprehensive preparation and meticulous review of financial statement disclosures and their supporting documentation to maintain transparency and accuracy.
• Accounting Operations & Research: Prepare and post journal vouchers for basic accounting transactions, while also researching fundamental accounting issues and related internal controls.
• Cross-functional Collaboration & Development: Work cross-functionally with Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax, Legal, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting teams, while developing a working knowledge of company business systems, processes, and controls.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level; Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or another related field.
• Experience: No previous accounting experience is required; this role is ideal for recent accounting graduates or early-career accounting professionals seeking to build a foundation in public-company external reporting.
• Skills:
• Demonstrated basic understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and fundamental financial statements.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage financial data and reporting tasks.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with various internal stakeholders.
• A strong interest in financial reporting, SEC compliance, and technical accounting.
