The Tone:
This is an 18-month full-time development program at Flexport, a company dedicated to making global commerce easy through innovative technology and exceptional people. Flexport is shaping the future of a $10T industry by playing a pivotal role in how goods move around the world. This role is crucial for building the foundational operational and technical skill set required to run global trade, combining real supply chain fluency with the ability to build and automate solutions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Gateway Operations: Own the shipment lifecycle by executing bookings, managing exceptions, and ensuring data integrity for air or ocean freight, while developing initial automation and reporting skills through structured coursework.
• Navigate Customs Regulations: Become a global trade expert by understanding complex customs laws to ensure goods comply with international requirements, simultaneously applying technical skills in SQL, workflow automation, and Lean process improvement.
• Drive Sales and Account Management: Engage in go-to-market activities and cultivate client-facing capabilities with increasing independence, culminating in a capstone project to identify and solve a real business problem with new tooling or process improvements.
• Develop Technical Fluency: Continuously acquire certifications in AI and low-code tooling, progressing from foundational bootcamps to applied builds, and present a capstone project to leadership at program graduation.
• Receive Mentorship and Feedback: Benefit from consistent guidance from a day-to-day manager in each rotation, oversight from a dedicated Rotation Program Manager, and support from a bi-weekly cohort and an alumni mentor community.

The Must-Haves
• Background: On track to graduate, or recently graduated, with a desire to build a career integrating supply chain operations and technology.
• Experience: Willingness to engage in live client and business work from the outset, as this program is not based on shadowing or classroom instruction.
• Skills: Genuine curiosity about AI and low-code tooling, capacity to operate with minimal supervision, ability to prioritize a high volume of work, clear communication under pressure, and a strong compliance-first mindset.
