What You’ll Actually Do
• Advisory: Serve as a senior consultant advising Medicare Advantage organizations on Star Ratings strategy, quality improvement, and operational performance.
• Engagement Leadership: Lead consulting engagements focused on CAHPS, HOS, and member experience, including developing improvement strategies and implementing targeted interventions.
• Strategic Translation: Advise clients across the broader Medicare Star Ratings program, translating measure performance and regulatory changes into operational priorities and actionable improvement plans.
• Performance Improvement: Develop and strengthen governance structures, workplans, performance monitoring approaches, and accountability processes that support sustained quality improvement.
• Expertise Contribution: Contribute subject matter expertise to Milliman research, analytics, and thought leadership related to Medicare quality, CAHPS, HOS, and Star Ratings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree required, coupled with 7+ years of experience in healthcare quality, Medicare Advantage, or health plan operations, including substantial experience focused on Medicare Advantage Star Ratings.
• Experience: Demonstrated success developing and implementing quality improvement strategies and interventions, rather than solely measuring or reporting, with significant experience in HEDIS, CAHPS, and HOS performance improvement.
• Skills: Strong analytical background with experience translating data into actionable recommendations for health plan clients, self-direction as a senior client-facing advisor, and the ability to communicate complex quality and regulatory issues clearly and practically.
• Bonus: Experience representing an organization at industry conferences, an advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare administration, public health), or prior experience developing new consulting offerings or building a Medicare quality practice.
