This role is crucial for applying accounting fundamentals to prepare, evaluate, and deliver accurate financial reports for a large portfolio of healthcare facilities in Texas, directly supporting internal management and external clients through proactive financial analysis and process improvements.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze maintenance spending data across a large portfolio of healthcare facilities to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring all expenses, receipts, owner distributions, and funding requests are accurately recorded to complete client financial statement packages.
• Execute the month-end close process by reviewing, verifying, and finalizing financial transactions before closing the accounting period.
• Aggregate data from multiple sources to generate comprehensive reports and analyze trends in general business conditions, utilizing Excel and other tools for tracking.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, management teams, and vendors regarding financial reporting and accounting inquiries, while also implementing process improvements and resolving complex financial issues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education will be considered. Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of standard accounting principles.
• Experience: Up to 3 years of relevant professional experience. This includes experience in analyzing information and applying standard practices to make informed judgments.
• Skills: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook. Demonstrated organizational skills combined with a strong inquisitive mindset, and intermediate math skills for complex financial calculations (percentages, fractions).
