Accounting Intern – Summer 2027 | Enterprise

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Enterprise, located in Bettendorf, IA. Enterprise is an industry leader that provides real-world business, accounting, and financial training. This role is crucial for gaining hands-on experience in financial management essential for running a successful business, and it serves as an introduction to Enterprise’s Business Management Training program. Interns will gain exposure to foundational accounting principles and processes within a supportive environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and analyses to support business insights.
• Collaborate: Work closely with rental branches and various other departments across the organization.
• Report: Support accounting managers by assisting with the generation of essential financial reports.
• Manage: Get involved with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including cash receipts and petty cash management.
• Organize: Assist with accounting schedules and maintain organized filing systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be at least 18 years old and currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting or Finance, with a graduation date of August 2027, December 2027, or May 2028. This 10 to 12-week internship is scheduled to start May 19th, 2027, and requires availability on Tuesday, May 18th, 2027; June 7th-9th, 2027; and Thursday, July 29th, 2027.
• Experience: Must possess a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past three years. Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by Enterprise now or in the future.
• Skills: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Bonus: Experience in accounting, accounts payable/receivable, or bookkeeping is preferred.
