Vice President – Compensation & Benefits | Mashreq
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Mashreq, located in the United Arab Emirates. Mashreq is a financial services institution seeking a compensation and benefits expert to bolster its global talent strategy. This role is crucial for developing and implementing attractive and competitive C&B propositions, ensuring compliance with diverse statutory requirements, and leading the digitization of rewards processes across multiple groups and international locations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Act as a subject-matter expert for all Compensation & Benefits matters within your assigned scope, providing guidance and expertise to stakeholders.
• Manage and execute pay review and bonus cycles effectively for designated locations, ensuring timely and accurate implementation.
• Lead the strategic digitization of rewards processes, identifying opportunities to enhance user experiences and streamline operations.
• Analyze compensation survey data to recommend and implement changes that align with the bank’s compensation philosophy and maintain competitive pay.
• Ensure strict adherence to statutory requirements and labor laws related to C&B, maintaining uniformity in policies across all assigned Mashreq locations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Vice President level with a strong background in compensation and benefits management, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful C&B strategies, and experience in digitizing and automating rewards processes.
• Skills: Excellent knowledge of compensation and benefits practices, including market trends, survey data, and benchmarking; strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data; proficiency in using HRIS systems; up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and statutory requirements related to C&B in multiple countries.
• Bonus: A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; UAE National.
