Wonderful Scholar Summer Internship, Accounting | Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds

The Tone:
This is an onsite internship at Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds, located in Los Angeles, CA. The company is the world’s largest vertically integrated pistachio and almond processor, committed to providing high-quality, sustainably harvested nuts to global consumers. This role is crucial for gaining hands-on experience and contributing to key process improvement projects within the accounting department, helping to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial and operational data.

The TL;DR

• Mission: This role assists the Accounting/Finance team by contributing to process improvement and ensuring data accuracy within financial systems.
• Tech Stack: Oracle ERP, Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Analysis: Assist with organizing, reviewing, and analyzing financial and operational data to support departmental functions.
• Financial Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information through diligent review and validation.
• System Testing: Assist with Oracle ERP process flow testing and perform data validation to ensure system accuracy.
• Documentation: Document testing steps and results clearly, maintaining organized records of all validation activities.
• Process Support: Support process improvement initiatives by identifying discrepancies and reporting findings to the Accounting/Finance team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level, currently pursuing a degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience: Must be a Wonderful Scholar enrolled in the College Success program and be 18 years of age.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, strong Excel skills (data organization, formulas, sorting, filtering, basic analysis), and the ability to follow detailed instructions and structured processes.
• Bonus: Eagerness to learn and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, along with the ability to adapt to evolving circumstances.
