Underwriting Graduate Program P28 | Beazley
The Tone:
This is a 12-month full-time graduate development program at Beazley, a specialist insurance company with over 1,500 employees globally. The program is designed to launch careers in underwriting by providing structured training, mentorship, networking opportunities, and hands-on learning. This role is crucial for building the technical and professional skills needed for a successful underwriting career and preparing participants for a permanent position within the company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Industry Training: Receive insurance industry training from internal and external experts through a structured classroom experience.
• Product Immersion: Gain intensive training with Beazley product lines including, but not limited to, Crime, Executive Risk, Environmental, Property, and Cyber.
• Professional Networking: Build relationships with program alumni, peers, brokers, and senior leaders from across the organization.
• Project Engagement: Participate in presentations, case studies, and project-based learning opportunities.
• Cultural Engagement: Engage with Beazley’s employee resource groups and attend social events with leadership, colleagues, and brokers.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is generally required.
• Experience: None explicitly required; relevant internship, work, leadership, or extracurricular experience is a plus.
• Skills: Strong numerical, analytical, and data interpretation skills; effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to organize workload, manage priorities, and meet deadlines; confidence presenting information to individuals and small groups.
• Bonus: Strong preference for a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Economics, Finance, Management, or Math, or a related discipline; fluency in additional languages where required; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; location flexibility for permanent placement after the program.
