This role offers an advanced college student or master’s student in finance or accounting a unique opportunity to gain substantial hands-on exposure to a wide array of key financial and accounting activities. The intern will be entrusted with leading a significant project, providing a platform to develop crucial professional skills, contribute meaningful insights, and present actionable recommendations directly to the Finance and Accounting leadership team.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Leadership: Take ownership and independently lead a strategic project designed to improve or analyze key functions within Accounting-To-Reporting or Financial Planning and Analysis.
• Recommendation Development: Conduct thorough research and data analysis to formulate well-supported and actionable recommendations derived from project findings.
• Executive Presentation: Prepare comprehensive reports and deliver compelling presentations to the Finance and Accounting leadership team, detailing project scope, methodologies, key insights, and proposed solutions.
• Operational Immersion: Gain practical exposure by actively participating in a diverse range of daily and periodic finance and accounting activities, observing and contributing to real-world financial operations.
• Process Contribution: Analyze existing processes within financial planning and analysis or accounting-to-reporting contexts, contributing to the identification of efficiencies and areas for improvement with an operational mindset.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled as an advanced college student or master’s student, actively pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting, and anticipating graduation within one year of the internship.
• Experience: Demonstrated strong academic performance and a foundational understanding of core finance and accounting principles, as evidenced through rigorous coursework, academic projects, or prior related part-time work.
• Skills: Proven proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Word for professional document creation, Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting, and Microsoft PowerPoint for developing clear and impactful presentations.
• Bonus: Exhibit exceptional organizational capabilities, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities effectively within a dynamic environment; Possess strong written and oral communication skills, enabling clear, concise, and persuasive articulation of ideas and information; Display the capacity to multitask efficiently, juggling various priorities without compromising quality or timeliness; Demonstrate a proactive ability to prioritize work effectively, ensuring all assigned projects and tasks are completed accurately and on schedule; Show a strong eagerness and capability to collaborate constructively and work well within a professional team environment.
