Sales Development Program Manager | Pella Corporation

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Pella Corporation, located in Chicago, IL. Pella is a prominent company known for its “Family of Brands” and a network of “Sales Subsidiaries” that drive its business growth. This position is critically important for securing the future success of these sales operations by proactively cultivating new talent. The Sales Development Program Manager will directly contribute to Pella’s strategic staffing goals, ensuring a robust and continuous supply of skilled early-career sales professionals are prepared to join and strengthen the company’s sales teams.

The TL;DR
• Location: In-person – Chicago, IL, US
• Pay: $110000–$150000 yearly
• Mission: Own and drive the early career sales development program to create a pipeline of sales talent, supporting the growth and staffing needs of Pella’s sales subsidiaries.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Development: Develop and lead comprehensive early career development efforts specifically tailored for the Pella Sales Subsidiaries, establishing the foundational structure and content for aspiring sales professionals.
• Program Ownership: Take complete ownership and actively drive the sales development program from its initial conception through ongoing execution and evaluation, ensuring its effectiveness and alignment with company objectives.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work closely and collaboratively with the talent acquisition team to identify and recruit candidates, and partner with sales and branch leaders to integrate program participants into the wider sales organization.
• Talent Guidance: Guide the individualized development of program participants, providing mentorship, training, and resources to prepare them thoroughly for a successful and impactful career within Pella’s sales framework.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager-level professional with a focus on developing and implementing structured early career talent programs, specifically within a sales or related corporate environment.
• Experience: Demonstrated, significant experience in developing, leading, and owning comprehensive talent development programs designed for early career professionals; proven track record of driving program success from inception to completion; experience in fostering collaborative relationships with talent acquisition teams, various sales leaders, and branch management to achieve program objectives; established ability in guiding and preparing individuals for professional careers, particularly in sales.
• Skills: Expertise in the strategic design, comprehensive implementation, and ongoing management of talent development programs; strong capabilities in fostering cross-functional collaboration among diverse internal stakeholders; proficiency in mentoring and preparing early career individuals for successful transitions into professional sales roles.
• Bonus: Reside in the Chicago, IL area to facilitate in-person program management and collaboration.
