A&A Staff Accountant I – Fall 2027 | Gallagher, Flynn & Company, LLP

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit & Accounting Procedures: Execute various audit, review, compilation, or accounting procedures under direct supervision, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare comprehensive financial statements accurately and efficiently.
• Account Reconciliation: Prepare and reconcile detailed account schedules as required for financial reporting and analysis.
• Inventory Observation & Client Engagement: Conduct thorough year-end inventory observations and effectively communicate with clients to gather necessary information or clarify emerging issues.
• Professional Development: Actively pursue CPA certification as a commitment to continuous professional growth within the accounting field.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or another relevant field is required. This position is ideal for an Early Career professional seeking foundational experience in public accounting.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers and basic software applications is essential for day-to-day tasks. No specific years of prior professional experience are required for this entry-level role.
• Skills: Possess above average written and verbal communication skills for effective client and team interaction; Exhibit the ability to perform diligently under time pressure and consistently meet established deadlines; Demonstrate a clear ability to travel by air and vehicle to client sites, along with providing own transportation for assignments and personal development programs.
• Bonus: A strong commitment to professional advancement, evidenced by actively pursuing CPA certification.
