• Mission: Provide comprehensive bookkeeping services to small and mid-size business clients, ensuring accurate financial records that support tax preparation.
• Tech Stack: QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts for multiple clients.
• Adjustments & Clean-up: Enter adjusting journal entries and perform clean-up of client accounts in preparation for tax returns.
• Reporting & Collaboration: Provide detailed reports to clients and the internal tax preparation team, collaborating on inquiries and requests.
• Onboarding: Onboard new clients by setting up their bookkeeping accounts within QuickBooks Online.
• Special Projects: Assist the tax team with year-end reporting, including 1099s, and handle other special projects as needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 0 to 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel; strong interpersonal skills with an approachable and professional demeanor; high attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and intellectual curiosity; strong organizational and time-management abilities.
