The Staff Accountant plays a critical part in maintaining the firm’s financial integrity by expertly managing general ledger accounts, executing monthly close processes, and supporting essential fiduciary responsibilities to clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconcile Accounts: Perform monthly account reconciliations for moderately complex accounts.
• Analyze Ledgers: Analyze general ledger fluctuations and research discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
• Support Fiduciary Duties: Execute specialized accounting functions to uphold the firm’s fiduciary responsibilities to its clients.
• Manage Monthly Close: Play a major role in monthly close processes, including the preparation of journal entries and related audit trail support.
• Oversee Cash: Reconcile and monitor the majority of the firm’s cash accounts, including recording intercompany cash receipts.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A preferred degree in accounting is required, positioning this as an early career opportunity for professionals entering the accounting field.
• Experience: Candidates should have one to two years of professional experience, specifically with trial balance and other general ledger accounts, alongside practical experience in creating and entering journal entries.
• Skills: Essential skills include functional proficiency with Excel, strong verbal and written communication capabilities, and a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Additionally, candidates must possess strong planning, organizational, detail-orientation, and problem-solving skills to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
