Fund Accountant | Gen II Fund Services
The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role for US employees at Gen II Fund Services, requiring three days a week in one of our US offices and two days remotely. The company is one of the largest global independent private equity fund administrators, managing over $1 trillion in private capital for clients. This role is crucial for providing core accounting services, including transaction processing and financial statement preparation, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting for private funds.

• Mission: Provide essential accounting services, including transaction processing and financial statement preparation, to support the administration of private equity funds.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Cash Management: Perform cash processing activities and complete bank reconciliations.
• General Ledger: Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, footnotes, supporting schedules, and work papers.
• Capital Accounts: Manage and process partner capital account information, including investor capital calls and distributions.
• Audit Liaison: Liaise with the client’s independent auditors to provide necessary support and information.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree is required, forming the foundational knowledge for accounting services.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to provide accounting services, including the preparation and processing of transactions and financial statements.
• Skills: Proficiency in cash processing, bank reconciliations, recording journal entries, maintaining a general ledger, and preparing financial statements.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree specifically in accounting.
