PROFESSIONAL TALENT DEVELOPMENT CEMENT COMMERCIAL | Cemex US

The Tone:
This is a 12-month full-time Talent Development Program for recent graduates within Cemex USA, with potential travel and relocation requirements across the U.S. Cemex USA is a leader in the building materials industry, known for its innovation, quality, and sustainability, with over a century of expertise. This program is designed to provide hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of Cement Commercial operations, enabling participants to develop the skills necessary for a successful career at Cemex.

The TL;DR
• Role: Talent Development Professional (TDP)
• Type: Full-time (12-month program)
• Location: In-person, within the U.S. (requires willingness to relocate)
• Team: Rotates through various roles within the Cement Commercial division.
• Mission: To gain hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of Cemex USA’s Cement Commercial operations, preparing participants for future career opportunities within the company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Safety Excellence: Promote and adhere to safety standards across commercial activities, customer visits, terminals, plants, and operational environments.
• Rotational Learning: Participate in structured rotational assignments designed to provide exposure to key areas of Cement Commercial operations, including Sales, Commercial Strategy, and Supply Chain & Logistics.
• Customer & Market Development: Gain a strong understanding of the cement business, customer segments, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
• Business Analytics & Commercial Excellence: Develop analytical and problem-solving skills through the evaluation of sales performance, market trends, and pricing strategies.
• Skill Development: Build both technical and professional competencies through on-the-job experiences, formal training, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A recent bachelor’s degree in Business Admin/Business Management, Sales Management, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management or a related field. This is an entry-level position.
• Experience: Previous experience gained through internships, co-op programs, or university projects, demonstrating a passion for the building materials industry.
• Skills: Analytical skills, presentation skills, leadership qualities, and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
• Bonus: A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred (2.5 minimum required); willingness to relocate within the U.S. if needed.
