2027 Supply Chain Development Program Trainee | Tractor Supply Company

The Tone:
This is a full-time, 12-month rotational program at Tractor Supply Company, located in Brentwood, TN. Tractor Supply Company is the nation’s largest rural lifestyle retailer, offering a comprehensive program designed for upcoming and recent college graduates. This role is crucial for developing future leaders within the company’s end-to-end supply chain, providing broad exposure and essential skill-building for long-term career success.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Rotational Assignments: Complete structured assignments across key Supply Chain functions, including Distribution Operations, Transportation, Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management, Merchandise Planning, and Distribution Center Engineering.
• Operational Exposure: Gain firsthand operational experience and insights within Tractor Supply stores and distribution centers.
• Reporting & Analysis: Build, analyze, and maintain reports that support operational decision-making, inventory productivity, and overall business performance.
• Project Contribution: Contribute to meaningful projects and hands-on assignments aligned with departmental and enterprise priorities.
• Skill Development: Participate in structured learning focused on supply chain systems, technical capabilities, business acumen, and professional development.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, Finance, or a related field, completed or to be completed prior to the program start date. Career level: Entry-Level.
• Experience: Demonstrated leadership through internships, work experience, campus involvement, extracurricular activities, or other experiences; willingness and ability to travel for rotational experiences.
• Skills: Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to organize information, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines; ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Bonus: Internship or previous experience in supply chain, retail, logistics, operations, or analytics; foundational knowledge of supply chain concepts, retail math, or operational performance metrics; experience analyzing data or working with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL; intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning; strong collaboration skills; high level of accountability and adaptability.
