• Mission: This person will be responsible for reviewing US federal and state tax returns, preparing quarterly tax provisions, and conducting technical research for tax planning projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Federal Tax Return Review: Review aspects of the US federal income tax return, including forms 1120, 5471, 8858, 8865 and associated schedules and statements.
• State Tax Compliance: Review state income tax returns, estimated tax payments, and state sales and use tax returns.
• Tax Provision Preparation: Prepare components of the quarterly provision for income taxes including GILTI, Subpart F, section 163(j) and domestic M adjustments.
• Tax Planning Analysis: Conduct technical research and quantitative analysis for tax planning projects, such as calculating tax basis, gain and loss calculations, and E&P analysis.
• Tax Reform Modeling: Perform annual budgeting and modeling of US tax reform, specifically including GILTI, 163(j) and foreign tax credits.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Accounting, Tax, or related field. This is a Senior level role focused on US tax analytics.
• Experience: 4 years of experience with a national accounting firm or a multi-national corporate tax department. Experience must include 4 years in preparation and review of Federal, State, and/or local tax forms, 4 years in preparation of Microsoft Excel based tax models, 4 years in review of M&A prepared financial models, 4 years in technical tax research, and 4 years communicating complex tax issues to management.
• Skills: Review of US federal and state tax forms, preparation of quarterly tax provisions (GILTI, Subpart F, 163(j)), technical tax research and quantitative analysis, Microsoft Excel based tax modeling, and communicating complex tax issues.
