What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Management: Process accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment posting, monitoring, and collection efforts, and manage accounts payable tasks such as vendor onboarding, invoice approval, and payment processing.
• Transactional Accounting: Post payroll reports and accurately allocate payroll expenses by class, ensuring proper categorization of all financial transactions.
• Month-End Close Support: Assist in essential month-end close activities, including performing bank and credit card reconciliations and preparing necessary journal entries.
• Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive general ledger records for revenue, expenditures, and paid media spend, and prepare financial information for reporting and tax filings.
• Process Improvement & Analysis: Conduct transaction research, support ad hoc financial reporting, and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and overall efficiency.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a relevant field. An associate’s degree combined with relevant experience will also be considered.
• Experience: Experience with QuickBooks Online, Justworks, Bill.com, and Ramp is preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency with Google Sheets and Excel, highly organized with strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with deadlines, and professionalism in handling confidential information.
• Bonus: Experience in startup or growth environments is a plus, along with the ability to provide finance-related administrative support.
