What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger Management: Prepare and maintain comprehensive general ledger entries accurately across multiple distinct legal entities of the firm.
• Financial Reporting Support: Assist with the monthly close process, performing reconciliations of various accounts and contributing to the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Transaction Processing: Process both accounts payable, ensuring timely vendor payments, and accounts receivable, managing client invoices and collections, all with accuracy and efficiency.
• Budget and Expense Analysis: Provide support for budget tracking initiatives and conduct detailed expense analysis across various business units to help inform financial decisions.
• Compliance and Audit Assistance: Ensure strict adherence to internal controls and established accounting policies, and actively assist with internal and external audits, tax filings, and other required external financial reporting.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field, which serves as the foundational educational requirement for this early-career accounting position.
• Experience: Bring 1–3 years of professional experience specifically within accounting or finance roles, demonstrating a foundational familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and basic financial reporting standards, along with practical experience using Excel and recognized accounting software systems.
• Skills: Exhibit strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial records, possess excellent organizational skills to manage accounting documentation and processes, and demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously to meet deadlines.
