Founder’s Associate — AI, Automation & Business Operations | Pyrovio
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Pyrovio, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, requiring a hybrid presence of at least three days a week in the office. Pyrovio is a company that builds and operates various businesses and initiatives, where this role is crucial for directly supporting the Founder/CEO across business operations, AI and automation, new ventures, and special projects. It’s designed for an early career individual eager to tackle complex problems without established playbooks, driving significant impact in a hands-on operating capacity. This position serves as an entrepreneurial apprenticeship, fostering an extreme growth mindset for someone keen to accelerate their career.

• Team: Reports directly to the Founder/CEO.
• Mission: To take on problems, build solutions, and drive efficiency across multiple business operations, AI, automation, and new ventures, acting as an entrepreneurial apprentice and hands-on operator.
• Tech Stack: AI agents, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), APIs, low-code/no-code automation platforms, LLMs, AI-assisted coding tools.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Operations: Manage the practical workings of multiple businesses and initiatives, which includes cleaning data, resolving vendor issues, building financial models, researching business problems, and organizing scattered information.
• AI & Automation Development: Design and build AI agents, multi-step agentic workflows, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions, connecting applications using APIs and low-code/no-code platforms.
• Process Improvement: Identify repetitive tasks and implement solutions to simplify, standardize, automate, or redesign processes, making them disappear or significantly more efficient.
• Special Projects & Ventures: Work directly with the Founder on new opportunities and ventures, conducting research and building solutions from initial ideas, often in unfamiliar subject areas.
• Problem Solving & Building: Take responsibility for understanding complex problems, developing options, recommending paths, and building solutions from scratch when no process exists, following through until issues are resolved.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career individual who combines business judgment with technical capability, potentially from engineering, computer science, business, finance, economics, operations, or consulting.
• Experience: Proven ability to build things, comfortable designing and building AI agents and automations, with capability to demonstrate actual built solutions.
• Skills: Extremely curious, a very fast learner, highly self-directed, business savvy, comfortable with numbers and financial concepts, resourceful, persistent, low ego, comfortable with ambiguity, and possessing high agency.
• Bonus: Entrepreneurial ambition and a desire to eventually build their own business, seeking exposure to the realities of entrepreneurship.
