Associate Finance Specialist (SAP) | IBM

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at IBM, located in one of our IBM Consulting FutureNow Centers, where deep technical and industry expertise is delivered to a wide range of public and private sector clients globally. What You’ll Actually Do
• Apply: Your knowledge of finance, accounting, and business operations to client challenges while developing expertise in SAP.
• Support: SAP-enabled finance processes across areas such as financial accounting, general ledger, and cost management for various clients.
• Translate: Financial and business requirements into practical SAP-enabled process and technology solutions.
• Participate: In SAP configuration, testing, data validation, documentation, and solution implementation activities under guidance.
• Collaborate: With experienced SAP consultants, finance professionals, and client stakeholders to strengthen consulting, communication, and analytical skills.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently completing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration with a concentration in Finance or Accounting, or a closely related business field.
• Experience: Demonstrated application of finance, accounting, analytical, or business problem-solving skills through coursework, internships, academic projects, or practical experiences.
• Skills: Strong foundational understanding of finance and accounting concepts, ability to analyze financial and business information, and effective communication of financial insights.
• Bonus: Experience applying finance or accounting concepts through internships, exposure to financial analysis or modeling, familiarity with financial systems or ERP concepts, and interest in SAP Finance or finance transformation.
